Paid per unit on whole gear · per kg on stripped materials
Free UK collection over 50 kg or 20 units · bank transfer same week

Two paths depending on how much you have: collection (we come to you, free over 50 kg or 20 units) or post-in / drop-off (smaller lots). Same pricing, same compliance, same payment timing in both.

Path A — Collection (50 kg or 20 units+)

  1. WhatsApp us photos. Send a photo or two of the lot, rough volume estimate, your postcode, and what kind of stuff it is (desktops/servers/stripped material). +44 7908 749694.
  2. We quote. Within a few business hours — what we'd pay, what we'd accept/refuse, and the pickup window. No commitment until you say yes.
  3. We schedule pickup. Usually within the week. Same-day possible on local routes (Liverpool, Manchester, Preston) for bulk loads.
  4. Van arrives. Our team loads up. For very large jobs we can weigh on-site with a portable scale; otherwise we tarpaulin and transport to weigh at our Rochdale facility.
  5. Weigh-in. Calibrated trade-approved scales, photo + video record, weigh-slip emailed to you. You can attend by appointment.
  6. ID check. Photo ID + proof of address — first sale only, then on file. Why this is required →
  7. Bank transfer. 1–2 working days after weigh-in agreed. Trade accounts run Net 14 or Net 30.
  8. WTN issued. If you need a Waste Transfer Note (business waste), we email a signed copy after collection.

Path B — Post-in or drop-off (smaller lots)

  1. WhatsApp us photos for a quote (same as above). Or just go ahead and post if you already know the rates.
  2. Pack and post to: E-Waste Direct, Unit D13, Fieldhouse Industrial Estate, Rochdale OL12 0AA. Any UK carrier — Royal Mail Tracked is fine for small lots; DPD or Evri for anything bigger.
  3. Or drop off in person at our facility Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00. Call ahead if it's over 100 kg.
  4. Weigh-in, ID, payment — same process as collection.
Pro tip: stripping your material before sending raises the price 3–5× per item. Strip RAM heatsinks (£65/kg vs £32/kg), strip PCBs clean (no 30% deduction), sort CPUs by visual grade. Worth the time for any volume.

What we need from you on day one

  • Photo ID — passport or driving licence
  • Proof of address — utility bill / bank statement / council tax bill under 3 months old
  • Bank details — for the transfer (sort code + account number)
  • Company details (if business) — registered name, address, VAT if applicable, contact name

What happens to your stuff after

We don't melt anything on site. After weigh-in:

  1. Sort — by material category at our Rochdale facility.
  2. Resaleable parts — working drives, working modern RAM, in-spec CPUs — go to refurbishers in the UK and EU.
  3. Scrap material — RAM PCBs, motherboards, CPU substrates — ship to licensed refiners in the UK and EU for metal recovery.
  4. Data-bearing media — wiped or shredded before any test or resale, certificate available if requested.
  5. Hazardous fractions — handled by licensed Cat-4 WEEE processors.
