RAM is the highest-yielding e-waste material per kilogram — bare DDR sticks pay £70/kg. We're a UK registered waste carrier paying weighed-in for any volume of scrap memory: DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, DDR5, server ECC, laptop SO-DIMM. Bank transfer after weigh-in.

What "RAM" means at our rate
At £70/kg we're paying for bare RAM sticks — just the green/brown PCB with the chips on. No heatsinks, no metal heat-spreaders, no plastic light bars, no foam pads, no attached cables. Strip those off before sending; you get more weight for the same number of sticks.
Stripping is fast — a kilo of sticks takes 20–40 minutes to clear of heatsinks. At £70/kg the work pays.
Worked examples
- 1 kg of clean DDR4 sticks (≈ 65–70 sticks of 8GB) → £70
- 5 kg of clean DDR3 server ECC (≈ 250 sticks) → £350
- 10 kg mixed clean RAM (consumer + server, all generations) → £700
What we accept
- Any DDR generation — DDR, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, DDR5
- UDIMM (desktop), SO-DIMM (laptop), RDIMM/LRDIMM (server ECC) — all the same rate
- Working or dead — we don't test, we weigh
- Server RAM, gaming RAM, generic RAM — all priced at the same per-kg rate
What lowers the rate: RAM with heatsinks still attached, or RAM mixed in with PSUs/motherboards/other gear. Strip first; if you can't, send whole machines in at the complete-unit rate.
Why RAM pays so well
Memory PCBs have one of the highest gold-bonded-wire densities of any e-waste category. Modern DDR4/DDR5 also uses palladium in the BGA solder balls. We sort and ship sticks straight to a UK/EU refinery — no melting on site, so more of the recovery value comes back to you.
FAQ
Do I need to sort by generation?
No — all DDR generations price at the same per-kg rate. Don't waste time separating them.
What about broken sticks?
Same rate. We weigh the material, not the function.
How do you weigh?
Calibrated trade-approved scales, weigh-slip emailed before payment, photo + video record of every weigh-in.
I have RAM with heatsinks still attached — what do I do?
Strip them off before sending. If you can't or won't, we can still take the lot but the heatsinks bring the average per-kg rate down (we'd quote on receipt). Easiest: pull the heatsinks, weigh the bare sticks for £70/kg, and recycle the heatsinks separately.
Bulk lots?
50 kg+ we collect free across the UK. Drop a photo on WhatsApp (+44 7908 749694) with rough volume and we'll come out same week.
