What We Collect

• Verification documents (a copy of your photo ID and a recent proof of address) where required by law for transactions.
• Details of the items you are selling to us.

Why We Collect It & Our Lawful Basis

• To provide quotes and arrange collections (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
• To comply with legal duties under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 (lawful basis: legal obligation).
• To manage Waste Transfer Notes and recycling records as required by environmental law (lawful basis: legal obligation).

How Long We Keep It

• Quote requests that do not proceed to a transaction are retained for up to 12 months.
• Transaction and ID records are retained for 3 years (as required by the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013).
• Waste Transfer Notes are retained for 2 years (as required by Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations).
